UniteCyprusNow (UCN) is launching a call to action against division with the theme “What are YOU doing against division?” The call to action will start with events in three cities in November. The aim of the call to action is to encourage Cypriots to join the discussion and take charge of their future.
The events, supported by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, will take place on 8 November in Nicosia (Goethe Institut), on 13 November in Limassol (TEPAK) and on 22 November in Famagusta (Mağusa Gelişim Akademisi). New members, now numbering well over 700, will also be informed about UCN’s vision (a united Cyprus for all Cypriots), mission (connecting Cypriots) and its new organisational structure during the events, which are open to the public.
Corruption Perception Index for the Northern Part of Cyprus

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) cordially invites you to the launch of the English version of the FES report on Corruption Perception in the north of Cyprus by Ömer Gökçekuş and Sertaç Sonan. The launch will take place at the Home for Cooperation in Nicosia on 20 November, starting from 10:30 am.
The project aims to raise awareness and start a debate on corruption in the northern part of Cyprus informed by scientific findings and is publicized in the form of a FES-report. The report is based on a telephone survey carried out by LIPA Consulting with 356 business executives. The event is in English and open to the public.

The conference aims at exploring the above aspects with emphasis on the Eastern Mediterranean. Experts from around the world will be called to address questions such as the following: What is the importance of the region for China and what are Beijing’s plans for it? What are the perceptions regarding BRI among Eastern Mediterranean states and how could they contribute to the development of the region? What other great-power interests are at stake? Could China’s policy be beneficial for the Eastern Mediterranean?
